Course Duration: 4 days Training groups presents many specific challenges for trainers. Course design must appeal to individuals with a variety of different learning styles. Additionally, there are other challenges involved in working with groups including group dynamics, encouraging participation and learning and being able to communicate effectively with a wide ranging audience each with their own specific preferences for communication. Speaking to groups or audiences is one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish, and yet organisations rely heavily on this method for training employees.
The majority of people involved in delivering training have just “fallen into it” and never been trained on how to design, deliver and evaluate their training sessions. The trainer’s vocational or occupational expertise may be present but are they maximising the learning opportunities by communicating this information in the best manner? To be successful a trainer must have the skills not only to design and deliver effective training but to also inspire and motivate their participants throughout the training session. Who should register for this course? All staff from any background are welcome to attend this course. It will be of particular interest to those people who have a responsibility to improve the skills of others through the delivery of Off-Job-Training. Additionally if you feel you will be delivering Off-Job-Training in the future this course will add a valuable set of skills to your CV. |
